

Swordfish
Scientific Name: Xiphias gladius
Swordfish are considered mid-water fish that live mainly in the twilight zone of the ocean and can dwell in depths of about 2,000 feet. Swordfish are known to reach a maximum weight of about 1,100 lbs with a lifespan of approximately nine years.
Known for their impressively renowned thick meaty-white, mild-tasting firm flesh, swordfish steaks find their spots on world-class menus from Sicily, to Greece, the United States, and culinary hot spots around the globe.
